Carboom!?! (Video)
With Chrysler and GM filing for bankruptcy, America’s auto industry is in some deep ish. However some experts have pointed to growing demand for fuel-efficient and eco-friendly cars, and have even suggested that they will be a factor in turning the auto industry around.
We want to know how strong of a force the Millenial Generation has been in advancing this type of standard. Are we driving the demand toward American eco-cars? Are our purchasing principles the force behind the green car movement? If so, will we actually be able to afford the cars we want to see made?
With all this talk of the recession, it’s hard to imagine people buying cars, but most experts believe there’’s a lot of pent-up demand. In other words, there’s going to be a boom in car sales (carboom!) when the economy turns around.
And this time, people will buy fuel-efficient vehicles. Every green car purchased, will bring the price down (supply and demand, supply and demand), so the only question is: will we be buying these cars from Detroit or from somewhere else…? It’s up to us. Actually, it’s up to Detroit.
